DURHAM SUSTAIN ABILITY'S PATH

EcoDriver Challenge - Youth Pilot a Success!

EcoDriver Challenge - Youth Pilot a Success!

Durham Sustain Ability (DSA) teamed up with Earth Day Canada’s EcoMentors program to get Dunbarton High School students to think outside the car!

Students participated in the EcoDriver Challenge pilot program on April12th. The goal of the pilot - get students to take action and use alternatives to commute to and from school.

Students heard from NASCAR Canada Driver and EcoMentor Joey McColm, who leads NASCAR Canada’s greenest race team. Student’s participated in interactive activities and were challenged on Car Free Day (April 19th). Students who walked, cycled, took the bus or carpooled that day were entered in a draw to win a Genesis Trafik 5.0 21-speed commuter bike, generously donated by Bay Cycle and Sports.
