1979 - Recycling Truck
The East York Conservation Centre (EYCC, an outgrowth of Project One Recycling) launched weekly curbside service for more than 100,000 East York residents. As part of the project the EYCC approached DEL Equipment, a major truck body manufacturer in Toronto, and together DEL and EYCC designed and built the first “specialized recycling truck” in Canada.
